What is a blog?

After posting my poem earlier today, I talked to a friend. She asked, " are you a blogger by nature?" what is that? what is a blogger? this question lead me to the question what is a blog? is it an artistic display? is it a "bitch session?" is it just a place for thoughts?

in the dictionary (dictionary.com) it says that a blog is "To write entries in, add material to, or maintain a weblog."

so i guess that's what I'm gonna do - write entries and add material. who knows where it will lead me, maybe i'll learn something, maybe i'll get published, maybe i'll just feel better.
